Before operating the unit, please read this manual thoroughly and retain it for future reference.

WARNING
To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.

To avoid electrical shock, do not open the cabinet. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.

Features

The Sony SRS-A5/A05S is a compact-size speaker system with a built-in power amplifier. This system can be connected to a CD player.

• Power output of 80 mW + 80 mW
Precautions
•Operate the system only on 3 V DC.

•If the system is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to avoid damage caused by battery leakage and corrosion.

•Do not open the cabinet. Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.

•Do not leave the system in a location near heat sources, or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, moisture, rain or mechanical shock.

•Should any solid object or liquid fall into the system, remove the batteries and have the system checked by qualified personnel before operating it any further.

•Do not use alcohol, benzine, or thinner to clean the cabinet.

•Do not leave recorded tapes, watches, personal credit cards or floppy disks using magnetic coding in front of the system for an extended period of time.

If you have any questions or problems concerning your system that are not covered in this manual, please consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Battery Replacement

When the batteries are weak, the POWER indicator will start flickering and become faint, or the playback sound will be distorted or unstable. In such a case, replace all the batteries with new ones. For battery life, see “Specifications”.

1 Set the POWER switch to ON.The POWER indicator lights up.
2 Adjust the volume with the connected equipent.Turn off the SOUND (CD player) function as it may cause sound distortion.After listening, set the POWER switch to OFF.The POWER indicator goes off.

Particularidades

El SRS-A5/A05S es un sistema de altavoces compacto, tamaño bolsillo, con un amplificador de potencia incorporado. El sistema podrá conectarse a un reproductor de CD.

•Salida de potencia de 80 mW + 80 mW
Precauciones
•Alimente el sistema con 3 V CC solamente.

•Cuando no vaya a utilizar el sistema durante mucho tiempo, extráigale las pilas para evitar el daño que podría causar el electrólito de las mismas.

•No abra las cajas acústicas. En caso de avería solicite los servicios de personal cualificado.

•No deje el sistema cerca de fuentes térmicas, ni en lugares sometidos a la luz directa, polvo excesivo, humedad, lluvia, o choques.

•Si dentro del sistema cae algún objeto sólido o líquido, extráigale las pilas y haga que sea revisado por personal cualificado.

•No emplee alcohol, bencina, ni diluidor de pintura para limpiar las cajas acústicas.

•No deje sus cintas grabadas, relojes, tarjetas de crédito o discos floppy con cintas o codificación magnética, delante del sistema durante largos períodos de tiempo.

Reemplazo de las pilas (Consulte fig. A.)
Reemplazo de las pilas

Cuando las pilas se debiliten, el indicador POWER comenzará a parpadear y se iluminará débilmente, o el sonido de reproducción se volverá distorsionado o inestable. En este caso, reemplace todas las pilas por otras nuevas.

Con respecto a la duración de las pilas, consulte “Especificaciones”.

1 Ponga el selector POWER en ON.El indicador de alimentación (POWER) se encenderá.2 Ajuste el volumen con el control de volumen del equipo conectado.

Desactive la función SOUND (reproductor de CD) ya que podría causar la distorsión del sonido.

Después de la escucha, ponga el selector POWER en OFF.El indicador de alimentación (POWER) se apagará.
