The TV Recorder options provide you with:

•a complete history of recorded shows.

•the location, limit, and quality of recorded shows.

•general programing defaults.

You can record standard definition TV programming and high-definition TV programming. Recording high-definition TV programming requires a digital antenna be installed to the ATSC digital tuner in the XL2 computer and be properly configured through Media Center. You can record high-definition channels/programs through Media Center; however, the resulting recording can only be viewed in a standard definition image. Please note the following:

TV programs that have been encrypted (protected) by the broadcaster cannot be copied and played back on any player other than the one recorded to.
