Image Capture Illumination

Selecting Enable Image Capture Illumination causes the digital imager scanner to flash on every image
capture. Select Disable Image Capture Illumination to prevent the digital imager scanner from using artificial
illumination.
Enabling illumination usually results in superior images. The effectiveness of the illumination decreases as the
distance to the target increases.

Fixed Exposure

This parameter configures the exposure that is used in manual mode for both Decode and
Snapshot/Video/Video viewfinder modes.
Each integer value represents 100 μs worth of exposure. The default value is 100 which results in an exposure
setting of 10 ms.
To set the Fixed Exposure parameter, scan Fixed Exposure below followed by four numeric bar codes
representing the value. Leading zeros are required. For example, to set a Fixed Exposure value of 99, scan 0,
0, 9, 9. See Appendix D, Numeric Bar Codes for numeric bar codes.
