4. Do not leave an SD card partially inserted in the slot. Press the SD card until
you hear it click into place.
5. Do not twist or bend SD cards.
6. Do not expose SD cards to liquids or store in humid areas or lay them close to
containers of liquid.
7. After using an SD card, return it to its case.
8. Do not touch the metal part or expose it to liquids or let it get dirty.
Memory expansion
You can install additional memory in the computer’s memory socket to increase the
amount of RAM. This section describes how to install and remove a memory
module.
CAUTIONS: 1. Use only memory modules approved by TOSHIBA.
2. Do not try to install or remove a memory module under
the following conditions. You can damage the
computer and the module. Also, data will be lost.
a. The computer is turned on.
b. The computer was shut down using Standby mode
or Hibernation mode.
c. Wake-up on LAN is enabled.
3. Some memory modules can be physically installed but
are not compatible with the computer. In this case, the
computer will issue a warning. A beep will sound
when you turn on the power.
If the module is installed in slot A, there will be a long
beep followed by a short beep. If the module is
installed in slot B, there will be a long beep followed
by two short beeps. In this case, shut down the power
and remove the incompatible module.
NOTE: Use a 0-bit, Phillips screwdriver to remove and fasten screws. Use
of an incorrect screwdriver can damage the screw heads.
