Stimmen Sie das Instrument vor dem Spielen mit dem Hauptstimmzug.

Da die Tonhöhe temperaturabhängig ist, blasen Sie vor dem Stimmen zunächst warme Luft durch das Instrument, um es aufzuwärmen. Die Stimmung hängt von der jeweiligen Situation ab und es gibt keine Standardeinstellung (als Faustregel gilt jedoch, dass bei 20°C ein Herausziehen des Hauptstimmzugs um 15 mm in etwa die Tonhöhe A=442 Hz ergibt).

Beachten Sie dabei auch, dass der Hauptstimmzug bei höheren Temperaturen ein wenig mehr herausgezogen und bei niedrigeren Temperaturen ein wenig mehr hinein- geschoben werden muss. Die Tonhöhe wird auch durch die Position und den Winkel Ihrer rechten Hand im Schallstück beeinflusst.

Stimmen Sie das Instrument durch Herauszie- hen bzw. Hineinschieben des Hauptstimmzugs.

Doppelhörner

1.Stimmen Sie die B-Seite mit dem Haupt- stimmzug.

*Auch Instrumente mit B-Stimmzug müssen mit dem Hauptstimmzug eingestimmt werden.

2.Stimmen Sie die F-Seite des Instruments mit dem F-Stimmzug.
