Ci200.2QR, Ci 200.2QS specifications

KEF Audio's Ci 200.2QS and Ci 200.2QR are part of their renowned CI (Custom Install) series, specifically designed for those who demand high-quality audio performance while maintaining aesthetic appeal in their home environments. These in-ceiling and in-wall loudspeakers showcase KEF's cutting-edge technology and meticulous engineering, catering to both audiophiles and casual listeners alike.

The Ci 200.2QS is designed as an in-ceiling speaker, ideal for delivering immersive sound in larger spaces. It features KEF’s innovative Uni-Q driver array, where the tweeter is centered within the midrange cone. This unique design allows for a more uniform dispersion of sound throughout the room, ensuring that every listener experiences balanced audio, regardless of their position. The speaker also incorporates a 200mm (8-inch) bass driver that contributes to deep, rich bass tones, while a 25mm (1-inch) aluminum dome tweeter adds clarity to higher frequencies.

On the other hand, the Ci 200.2QR, designed as an in-wall speaker, shares many similarities with its ceiling counterpart but is tailored for different install environments. This model also employs the Uni-Q driver configuration, enabling seamless blending of sound across different speakers in multi-room setups. The robust construction of both models helps to minimize vibrations and unwanted resonances, which ensures clean and accurate sound reproduction.

Both the Ci 200.2QS and Ci 200.2QR feature KEF’s innovative "twin-tweeter" design, providing the ability to customize the speaker's directivity. This means they can be adjusted to direct sound precisely where it's needed, enhancing the listener's overall experience. Additionally, the speakers are equipped with a unique mounting system that allows for easy installation and secure positioning, making them a practical choice for professional installers and DIY enthusiasts alike.

These models are also aesthetically pleasing, with low-profile grilles that can be painted to match any interior decor. Their versatility makes them suitable for various applications, whether in dedicated home theater setups or as part of a whole-home audio system. The Ci 200.2QS and Ci 200.2QR not only deliver exceptional sound quality but also blend seamlessly into any architecture, proving that high-performance audio doesn't have to compromise on design.
