MULCHER PLUG TYPE “B”
To convert to bagging or discharging:
SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
• Lift discharge guard and remove mulcher plug.
• Mower can now be used for side dis- charging or optional grass catcher can be attached.
•To return to mulching operation, simply reinstall mulcher plug as shown, making sure tab is seated properly.

CAUTION: Before performing any ser- vice or adjustments:
•Release operator presence control bar.
•Make sure the blade and all moving parts have completely stopped.
•Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire where it cannot come in contact with plug.

•Mulcher plate must be installed into rear discharge opening of mower (see above instructions).
•Open mulcher door and install discharge deflector under door as shown.
•Mower is now ready for discharging operation.
•To convert to mulching or bagging operation, discharge deflector must be removed and mulcher door must be closed.

TO ADJUST HANDLE
2 POSITION HANDLES
The handle can be mounted in a high or low position. The mounting holes in the bottom of lower handle are off center for raising or lowering the handle.

| handle bracket mounting pin. |

• | Remove knob and carriage bolt on one |
| side of the lower handle. |
• | While holding handle assembly, remove |
| knob and carriage bolt from opposite |
| side, align hole in handle with desired |

• | Turn lower handle over to raise or lower |
| handle. |
• | Squeeze lower handle in and position |
| holes onto mounting pins on handle |

| ing pins. |

“COMBI-CUT” MOWERS
Your lawn mower was shipped ready to be used as a mulcher. To convert to bagging or discharging:
REAR BAGGING
• Open rear door and remove mulcher plate. Store mulcher plate in a safe place.
•You can now install grass catcher.
•To convert to mulching or discharging operation, install mulcher plug into rear discharge opening of mower, making sure all tabs are seated properly.
