Before every use, inspect the unit. Do not use the unit if safety devices and/or the blades have been damaged or are worn out. Never oper- ate the unit with the safety devices disassembled.
Only use the unit for the purposes specified in these instructions.
Do not wear loosely hanging clothes, jewelry etc. They could become caught in the machine. Wear sturdy shoes and gloves. Wear long trousers to protect your legs.

Make sure that there are no other people (especially children) or animals anywhere near the working area.
You are responsible for the safety of the working area.
Inspect the area to be cut be- fore beginning. Remove any objects from the area. Take care of objects when working. If, in spite of that, you should contact any obstructions when cutting, turn off the unit, (safety stop switch 4 to position “0”) and remove the object.
If the cutting blades become blocked, turn off the unit, (safety stop switch 4 to posi- tion “0”) and remove the ob-
ject (thick branch, another object) by means of a blunt device.
Never use your fingers to remove objects as blades can cause enormous cutting injuries.
The charging cable should regularly be checked for signs of damage and aging (brittle- ness) and may only be used if it is in perfect condition.
Only use the original GARDENA charging device or one authorised by the manufacturer.
