UNIT/MAINTENANCE SAFETY
S Disconnect the spark plug before performingmaintenanceexceptcarburetor adjustments.
SLook for and replace damaged or loose parts beforeeachuse. Look for andrepair
fuel leaks before use. Keep in good working condition.
S Replace trimmer head parts that are chipped, cracked, broken, or damaged in any other way before using the unit.
SMake sure unit is assembled correctly as shown in this manual.
SMake carburetor adjustments with lower
end supported to prevent line from contacting any object.

FUEL SAFETY
SMix and pour fuel outdoors.
SKeep away from sparks or flames.
S Use a container approved for fuel.
S Donotsmokeor allowsmokingnear fuelor the unit.
S Wipe up all fuel spills.
S Moveatleast10feet(3meters) away from fueling site before starting engine.
S Stop engine and allow to cool before removing fuel cap.
CUTTING SAFETY
S Use only for trimming, mowing, and sweeping. Donot usefor edging,pruning,
or hedge trimming.
SInspecttheareabeforeeachuse.Remove objects (rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, etc.) which can be thrown by or become
entangledinline.Hardobjects candamage trimmer head and be thrown causing
serious injury.
S Keep firm footing and balance. Do not overreach.
S Keep all parts of your body away from spinning line and muffler. Keep engine
below waist level. A hotmuffler cancause serious burns.
SCuttingwiththeline onleft sideof theshield will throw debris away from the operator.
