Before using the pole hedge trimmer, a one-time assembly is required.

nThe telescoping pole and trimmer head come unassembled. Remove from packaging and extend telescoping pole to its longest operating position as shown in Figure 6 in the Operation section of this manual.

nUnscrew the threaded collar from trimmer head base and pull back over the cord to the extended telescoping pole as shown.

nInsert the telescoping pole into the trimmer head threaded base until the lock holes click into place. The tubes are egg-shaped and will only install one way. The threaded base will spread open during assembly.

NOTE: You may need to slightly rotate pole from side to side until it locks into place.

nLower the threaded collar onto the threaded base and rotate clockwise to secure.

WARNING:

Failure to lock telescoping pole as directed above could result in serious injury or death.
