The PVA-50 is a portable broadcast quality video distribution amplifier which combines excellent performance with low power consumption. The unit is designed for field use, and is housed in a durable high-impact plastic case. The input is high-impedance, looping, and four 75 Ohm outputs are provided. A front panel gain control adjusts for "3dB gain. The versatility of the PVA-50 is aided by an on-board voltage regulator which allows the unit to be powered from an external AC or DC supply. Operating voltage range is identical to that of modern ENG cameras. Weighing in at only 5.5 ounces (156g), the PVA-50 can easily be carried by a field cameraman and powered by the camera's battery pack. The ability to operate from an AC supply also provides complete polarity protection for mobile or field operation.
