Never install,remove,or adjust any attachmentwhile power head is running.Failureto stop the enginecan causeseriouspersonalinjury.

The attachmentconnectsto the power head bv meansof a couplerdevice.

rLoosenthe knob on the couplerof the powerheadshaft and removethe end cap from the attachment.

rPushinthe buttonlocatedon the attachmentshaft.Align thebuttonwiththeguiderecessonthepowerheadcoupler and slidethe two shaftstogether.Rotatethe attachment shaftuntilthe button locks intothe positioninghole.

NOTE: lf the button does not releasecompletelyin the positioninghole, the shafts are not locked into place. Slightlyrotatefrom sideto side uniilthe buttonis locked into place.

r Tightenthe knob securely.

Be cedain the knob is fully tightenedbeforeoperating equipment;check it periodicallyfor tightnessduringuse to avoidseriouspersonalinjury.

REMOVINGTHE ATTACHMENTFROM THE POWERHEAD

For removingor changingthe attachment:

I Loosenthe knob.

IPush in the button and twist the shaftsto removeand seoarateends.

Therearetwowaysto hangyourattachmentfor storage.

ITousethehangercap,pushinthebuttonandplacethe hangercapoverendofthelowerendattachmentshaft. Slightlyrotatethecapfromsideto sideuntilthebutton locksintoolace.

IThesecondaryholeintheattachmentshaftcanbeused forhangingpurposesaswell.

IRemove2wingnuts,2 bolts,andclampfromthefront handle.

rInstallthefronthandleontothetoosideofthedriveshaft housingandmoveit to a comfortableposition.

IPlacetheboltthroughthefronthandle.

NOTE:Thehexboltheadfitsinsidethehexrecessmolded intoonesideofthehandle.

rReinstalltheclamp,bolts,andwingnuts. r Tightenwingnutsecurely.

IHoldthe top and bottomclampsnuglyin positionon theshafthousingso thathandlewillbe locatedto the ooerator'sleft.

IAlignthe bolt holesand pushthe longbolt (1/4-20x 1-112in.through)thehandleside.

rPlaceshortboll(1/4-20x 1 in.)throughoppositesideof clamp.Inslallflatwashers,lockwashers,andhexnuts to holdtheassemblyinplace.

IAfterassemblyis complete,adjustthe positionof the handleforbestbalanceandcomfort.

ITightenfirstthelongboltandthentheshortbolt.
