4. Spark arrester service (for tiller type engines)

If the engine has been running, the muffler will be very hot. Allow it to cool before proceeding.

The spark arrester must be serviced every 100 hours to keep it functioning as designed.

1.Loosen the 5 mm hex bolt, then remove the top cover (see page 20 ).

2.Remove the 3 × 6 mm tapping screw from the spark arrester, and remove the spark arrester from the muffler.
