Replacing the internal speaker

Attention

This section provides instructions on how to replace the internal speaker.

To replace the internal speaker:

1.Open the computer cover. See “Opening the computer cover” on page 12.

2.Locate the internal speaker. See “Locating components” on page 9.

3.Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the system board. See “Locating parts on the system board” on page 10.

4.Press the internal speaker lock latch 1, slide the internal speaker downwards and remove it from the chassis.

5.Position the new internal speaker into the metal clips 2 and push the internal speaker upwards until it is secured by the lock latch 1.

6.Connect the new internal speaker cable to the system board.

7.Go to “Completing the parts replacement” on page 30.
