1TB capacity, fewer parts

The Deskstar™ 7K1000.D is Hitachi’s first one-disk, 1TB, 7200 RPM 3.5-inch hard drive for use in power-friendly consumer and commercial desktop computers. This fourth-generation 1TB hard drive from Hitachi uses Advanced Format, which increases the sector size on HDDs from 512 bytes to 4096 (4K) bytes, thereby increasing capacities and improving error correct- ing capabilities. Consult the Hitachi Advanced Format Technology Brief for more information on these drives. Leveraging eighth-generation power management technology, as well as power-saving HiVERT™ innovations pioneered on the popular 2.5-inch line of notebook hard drives from Hitachi, this new desktop drive provides up to 16% idle power savings over the previous model, delivering best-in-class power management and thermal emissions.

Innovation for a more sustainable environment

The Deskstar 7K1000.D demonstrates Hitachi’s ecological leadership with its halogen-free design and power-efficient operation. Both these features helped qualify the drive for the Hitachi EcoTrac classification, which identifies products that minimize environmental impact in the areas of product design, manufacturing, operation and disposal.

Power efficiency supports ENERGY STARTM 5.0

The ENERGY STAR 5.0 specifications released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are recognized around the world as a way of identifying energy-efficient PCs and other computer equipment. PCs that meet the ENERGY STAR 5.0 criteria are expected to become increasingly popular with both corporations and consumers. Some corporations are choosing to purchase ENERGY STAR PCs as part of their “green” initiatives. The low power profile of the Deskstar 7K1000.D hard drive enables a reduction in overall system power requirements, which helps PC manufacturers achieve ENERGY STAR ratings.

HDS721050DLE630, 7K1000.D, HTS723225A7A364, HDS721025DLE630, HDS721010DLE630 specifications

The Hitachi HTS723225A7A361, HTS723216A7A365, HTE723232A7A364, HTS723225A7A364, and HTS723216A7A361 are part of the Hitachi Travelstar line of hard disk drives (HDDs), known for their reliability and performance in various computing environments. These drives are designed largely for mobile and desktop applications, making them suitable for laptops, external storage solutions, and all-in-one PCs.

A standout feature of these drives is their capacity, with the HTS723225A7A361 and HTS723225A7A364 offering a substantial 250 GB of storage, while the HTS723216A7A365 and HTS723216A7A361 provide 160 GB. This amount of storage makes them ideal for users who need to store large amounts of data, including multimedia files, applications, and system backups.

In terms of performance, these drives have a spindle speed of 5400 RPM, which balances speed and efficiency. While 7200 RPM drives may offer faster data access times, the 5400 RPM models are often preferred in mobile applications due to their reduced power consumption and heat generation. This energy-efficient design not only extends battery life in portable devices but also contributes to a quieter operation.

One of the key protective features incorporated in these Hitachi models is the Shock Sensor technology. This innovative feature detects sudden shocks or impacts and temporarily locks the drive's read/write heads, preventing potential data loss or physical damage. Additionally, the drives employ Advanced Format technology, which enhances data integrity and increases storage capacity by effectively utilizing sectors.

The Hitachi HDDs also implement a S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) system that continually monitors the drive’s health status and alerts users to potential issues before they lead to failure. This proactive approach is vital for maintaining data security, especially in environments where data integrity is crucial.

Moreover, these drives are designed with a focus on broad compatibility, making them suitable for a range of operating systems and devices, from laptops to gaming consoles. Their durability, combined with a design that minimizes power consumption, makes the Hitachi HTS723 series a favored choice among both consumers and professionals.

In conclusion, the Hitachi HTS723225A7A361, HTS723216A7A365, HTE723232A7A364, HTS723225A7A364, and HTS723216A7A361 hard drives are excellent choices for users prioritizing performance, capacity, and reliability. With features designed to safeguard data integrity, these drives continue to play a significant role in data storage solutions.
