Installing the Driver and Selecting the Printer

.The Macintosh LaserWriter Driver is installed from the CD provided with the printer. Insert the CD, open the Drivers folder, then the appropriate country folder, and double click on the FS-Series Installer program in the desired language.

.Once installation is complete and your system has been restarted, select Chooser from the Apple menu to open the Chooser.

.Select the LaserWriter 8 driver, the zone (if any) and the 3000E printer.

.Click on Create. The driver will automatically select the appropriate PPD file and will display a dialog allowing selection of the installed printer options.

.Some, but not all, of the printer options can be automatically detected by the driver. Select installed options as necessary and confirm that the list of installed options matches the printer configuration. Click on OK. This completes Macintosh printing configuration.
