Using the printer troubleshooting software (Windows only)

The Lexmark Service Center provides step-by-step troubleshooting help and contains links to printer maintenance tasks and customer support.

To open the Lexmark Service Center, use one of these methods:

Method 1

If it appears on an error message dialog, click the For

additional assistance, use the Lexmark Service Center link.

Method 2

1Do one of the following:

In Windows Vista, click ŒAll Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.

In Windows XP, click Start Œ Programs or All Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.

2Select Lexmark Service Center.

Setup troubleshooting

Power button is not lit

These are possible solutions. Try one or more of the following:

PRESS POWER BUTTON

Make sure the printer is on by pressing .

DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT THE POWER CORD

1Press to turn the printer off.

2Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

3Disconnect the power cord from the power supply.

4Plug the power cord all the way into the power supply on the printer.
