lPaper of inconsistent thickness, such as envelopes;

lPaper with wrinkles, curls, folds or tears;

lCoated paper;

lCarbonless paper;

lPaper narrower than 11.4cm (4.5in) or wider than 21.6cm (8.5in); shorter than 14cm (5.5in) or longer than 35.5cm (14in);

lPaper thinner than 0.05mm (.002in); thicker than 0.15mm (.006in);

lItems other than paper, such as cloth, metal or OHP film;

lNotched paper;

lPaper of an odd (non-rectangular) shape.

Please use the document glass to copy or scan documents that cannot be fed by the ADF.

LOADING THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENT IN THE ADF

Place your document with the text face up and adjust the paper guides until they are snug against the paper.
