Changing the Settings

 

Viewing a Demonstration

When using this dictionary, you can adjust the type size, the shutoff time, and the screen contrast. The shutoff time is how long your BOOKMAN stays on if you forget to turn it off.

Note: The screen illustrations in this User’s Guide use the normal type size.

1.Press M E N Ü [MENU] in the Diction- ary, Databank or Calculator.

2.Use the arrow keys to high- light Set Type Size, Set Shutoff, or Set Contrast on the Setup menu.

3.Press E I N G A B E [ENTER].

4.Use or to highlight a new set- ting.

5.Press E I N G A B E to select it. Press ZURÜCK [BACK] to leave the setting unchanged.

When no book card is installed, a demonstration of this dictionary will appear automatically when you turn the BOOKMAN.

To stop the demonstration, press .

To disable it, press and then select Disable Demo from the Setup menu. TO re-enable it, select Enable Demo.

When a book card is installed in your BOOKMAN, select View Demo from the Setup menu to see the demonstration.

Help is Always at Hand

You can view a help message at any screen by pressing HILFE [HELP]. Use the direction keys to read the message. To exit help, press ZURÜCK .

To read a tutorial describing how to use the product, select Tutorial from the Setup menu.
