FEATURES

CAT5 cables support high-bandwidth (to 100 MHz), high-speed communications over data and voice circuits (CAT5).

CAT3 cables can be used to expand PBXs in voice circuits.

Choose from male or female 50-pin telco to blunt-cut open end, male 50-pin telco, or female 50-pin telco terminations.

OVERVIEW

The CAT5 25-Pair Telco Connector Cables support high-

speed communication network applications with bandwidths up to 100 MHz, including ANSI ASC X3T12 TP-PMD, ATM, and ISDN.

The CAT5 cables conform to ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-A CAT5 requirements including Power Sum Near-End Crosstalk (PS-NEXT). Underwriters Laboratories (UL®) lists the cables as Communications Cable Type CMR 75C, for installation as general building wiring in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70), and has verified them to CAT5. The cables are also CSA certified as Communications Cable Type PCC 60C FT4 in accordance with the National Building Code of Canada.

The CAT3 cables can be used to expand PBXs in office phone systems.

Each CAT5 or CAT3 cable’s core consists of 25 twisted pairs cabled together. Each pair has two 24 AWG copper conductors, twisted together with varying lays to reduce crosstalk.

The PVC cables’ jacket material is flame-retardant PVC, and a ripcord is located under the jacket. You can also choose from cables with plenum jacketing.

All cables are terminated with a male or female 50-pin telco connector at one end and your choice of a male 50-pin telco connector, a female 50-pin telco connector, or no termination at all (a blunt-cut open end) on the other end. They are available with AMP or AVAYA style connectors.
