Step 2 Locate the SIMM. The SIMM occupies socket U1. (See Figure 3.)

Step 3 Remove the SIMM from its socket by pulling the locking spring clips on both sides outward and tilting the SIMM free of the clips. (See Figure 4.) Be careful not to break the clips on the SIMM connector.

Step 4 Grasp the ends of the SIMM with your thumbs and forefingers and lift it out of the socket. (See Figure 5.)
