The following hardware and software requirements must be fulfilled to ensure trouble- free operation.

In order to use the Freecom Hard Drive Secure, following components are needed:

•256 MB RAM (Vista: 512 MB RAM) or higher

•Available USB 2.0 or USB 1.1 port*

•Internet connection for online warranty registration, software updates and downloads

•Operating system: Windows XP, Windows Vista

*To achieve optimal performance from the Freecom Hard Drive Secure your computer should be equipped with an USB 2.0 port.
