Notes for IBM PC-Compatible Users

To use the Apple Multiple Scan 20 Display with an IBM PC-compatible computer, follow these instructions.

IMPORTANT Follow all of the safety instructions in Chapter 1.

Compatibility

The Apple Multiple Scan 20 Display works with most IBM PC-compatible computers equipped with VGA (Video Graphics Array) or greater capability. You may need to install a video card to use the monitor with your computer. For more information, see the manuals that came with your computer.

The monitor is preadjusted and works with any computer that has the following timing ranges:

mhorizontal scan rate of 30–82 kilohertz

mvertical refresh rate of 50-120 hertz
