Data Acquisition Redundancy

The CN2610 uses 4 IP addresses in a DRDAS system. In the figure on

Primary PC, LAN B,

the previous page, RTU data is received through a serial port on the

CN2610, and the data is transmitted to two PCs on two different LANs

 

using a total of four IP addresses. One of the four IP addresses is the

 

primary IP for transmitting data downstream to the RTU. The other

 

three IP addresses may not transmit data to the RTU as long as the

 

primary IP continues to be operational. This kind of architecture allows

 

the system to continue operation even if the Primary PC, LAN B, and

 

the Primary CN2610 crash at the same time.
