Introduction

The MPEX1394B3 3-Port Mini PCI Express to FireWire800 and FireWire400 adapter card allows for adding external FireWire connectivity to very small form factor or embedded systems. Providing two FireWire800 (1394b) and one FireWire400 (1394a) ports, this adapter card supports the latest external FireWire storage devices at speeds up to 800 Mbps.

Using the Mini PCI Express (Mini Card) form factor, this adapter card is designed for use in the latest very small form factor computer systems, such as Mini-ITX, where a full sized PCI Express card would not fit.
