The function of the blinking LED Tray icon in the Windows 98 task bar, as well as the blinking LED lights on the reader, indicate that the SmartMedia card is still being accessed.

During file transfer do not remove the SmartMedia card from the reader

!while LED lights are flickering. It may permanently corrupt the SmartMedia card and destroy stored data.
