Naming Presets

You can name presets for easy identification. The preset name may contain of up to eight characters.

• “A” for uppercase letters.

“a” for lowercase letters.

“1” for numbers and symbols.

Press the number buttons repeatedly

 

to select the available letters. For

 

example, press the [2] button repeat-

 

edly to select: A, B, or C.

 

• Selecting numbers and symbols:

 

Use the number buttons to select

 

numbers.

 

Press the [>10] button repeatedly to

 

select: (space) . / * - , ! ? & ’ ( )

 

Press the [0] button repeatedly to

 

select: 0 or (space)

Note:

Not all of the symbols can be entered by using the number buttons. Use the Previ-

ous and Next [] or [ ] buttons to select from the full range of symbols.

When you’ve selected the charac- ter you want, press [ENTER], and then choose the next character.

Editing characters:

To change or delete a character you’ve already entered, use the Rewind and Fast Forward

[]/[ ] buttons to select it, and then select another character, or press the [CLEAR] button to delete it.

Inserting a new character:

To insert a new character, use the Rewind and Fast Forward

[]/[ ] buttons to select the char- acter immediately after the insertion point. That character flashes. Use the

Previous and Next [] or [ ] buttons to select “ ,” press [ENTER], and then select the new character.

To cancel the Name In function, press the [MENU/NO] button for 2 seconds.

When you’ve finished entering the

 

 

name, press the [YES/MODE] but-

 

ton.

 

The preset is named and “Complete”

 

appears on the display.

On the CR-515DAB, you can also use the front panel controls.

1Select the preset you want to name (see page 45).

2Push the multi control, and then turn it to select “Name In?”

3Push the multi control.

4Turn the multi control to select a character, and then push it.

5Repeat step 4 to enter up to 8 characters.

Use the remote controller’s [DISPLAY] button to select the character groups.
