The NOTE presents 600,000 alternative and opposite words, with example phrases to convey meanings. Along with synonyms and antonyms, it also lists related words and provides explanations of often-confused words. The ODQ* is Oxford's largest quotations dictionary, with over 20,000 quotations from books, films, newspapers, and speeches. The ODQ contains comprehensively indexed quotations from around 3,000 historical figures, including authors, politicians, scientists, and artists. Whether you're writing an essay or preparing a speech or presentation, this is one resource you can't afford to be without.

Phrase Search

With the PW-E series

e-dictionaries, you aren't

limited to searching only for

single-word entries. Using

the Phrase Search, you can

search for idioms and

phrasal verbs by specifying

up to three keywords.

Zoom Key

With the Zoom key, you can maximise either readability or quantity of information on the display. A single keystroke changes the character size from the default 12-dot to 9-dot vertical pixel resolution.
