AT-9748TS/XP-20 specifications

The Allied Telesis AT-9748TS/XP-20 is a robust and versatile layer 3 managed switch designed for enterprise networks requiring high-performance and reliability. This switch is part of the AT-9740 series, which emphasizes green technology and efficiency while delivering powerful connectivity solutions.

One of the standout features of the AT-9748TS/XP-20 is its extensive port configuration. It includes 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports that provide flexible connectivity options, making it suitable for various network design scenarios. Additionally, it offers 4 SFP+ ports, enabling 10 Gigabit uplinks for higher bandwidth applications. This flexibility ensures that organizations can scale their networks effectively as their demands evolve.

The AT-9748TS/XP-20 utilizes advanced Layer 3 capabilities, including static routing and dynamic routing protocols such as RIP and OSPF. This feature is critical for organizations that require intelligent routing and optimized network performance, particularly in complex network environments. The switch also supports VLANs, facilitating improved network segmentation and security.

In terms of quality of service (QoS), the switch excels with its ability to prioritize traffic based on applications, ensuring that critical data flows receive the necessary bandwidth and minimal latency. This is particularly important for voice over IP (VoIP) and video conferencing applications that are sensitive to delays.

Security is paramount in the AT-9748TS/XP-20, which includes robust features such as Access Control Lists (ACL) for traffic management and filtering. It also supports 802.1X network access control, allowing organizations to enforce security policies and restrict unauthorized access to the network.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) support enhances the versatility of this switch, allowing it to deliver power to devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points directly through the network cabling. This eliminates the need for additional power sources and simplifies installations.

Moreover, the AT-9748TS/XP-20 employs advanced energy-saving technologies, working towards reducing the overall carbon footprint of the networking infrastructure. With features like Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), it dynamically adjusts power consumption based on traffic levels, making it a sustainable choice for modern enterprises.

In summary, the Allied Telesis AT-9748TS/XP-20 is a powerful, feature-rich managed switch that caters to the demands of today's dynamic networking environments. Its combination of extensive port options, advanced routing capabilities, robust security features, and energy-efficient technologies makes it an ideal solution for organizations seeking to enhance their network performance while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.
