3.2.5 Port-based priority

Related DIP: 11, 12

Default meaning: No hardware port priority.

If your end-nodes do not support priority, and you would like to preserve more bandwidth for those network users, port-based priority will direct set the related port to high priority.

Priority support can co-work with VLAN.

3.3 Application

3.3.1 Basic 100Mbps Server, PCs to 10/100Mbps Switch

Plug one end of the Category 5 UTP Cable into any one port of the Switch, and the other end of this cable into the RJ-45 of Fast Ethernet Adapter in the server or PC. The cable length between these 2 connecting points should not exceed 100 meters.
