Section 1.2 Profile

The Profile tab allows to create or delete profiles and configure the wireless network settings.

The options for Mode include Infrastructure(Access Point) and Adhoc(Peer-to-Peer). Adhoc networks consist of wireless clients only. In Infrastructure networks, wireless clients connect to wired LANs via Wireless Access Points. The Tx Rate allows you to manually set your Transmission speed over the wireless network – the options are 1Mbps, 2Mbps, Auto 1 or 2Mbps, 5.5Mbps, 11Mbps, or Fully Automatic.
