1.0 Drive specifications

Unless otherwise noted, all specifications are measured under ambient conditions, at 25°C, and nominal power. For convenience the phrases the drive and this drive are used throughout this manual to indicate both the ST33240A and the ST32531A.

Note. The ST33240A supports any translation geometry that satisfies all of the following conditions:

∙Sectors per track ≤ 63

∙Read/Write heads ≤ 16

∙(Sectors per track) × (Read/Write heads) × (cylinders) ≤6,303,024
