Firmware Update - This page contains settings that update the

Ethernet Converter's Firmware.

Updating the Ethernet Converter's fi rmware is a procedure where a user downloads a newer fi rmware from the Buf- falo Technology Web Site and applies it to the Ethernet Con verter. New fi rmware fi les contain new software code that adds bug fi xes, additional features, increased performance, and revised interfaces.

To update the fi rmware, press the 'Browse' button and search for the downloaded fi rmware fi le. When complete, press the 'Firmware Update' button. The fi rmware update process takes 90 seconds. After the fi rmware update is complete any previous confi guration changes will remain unchanged.

Prohibiting both confi gurations makes all Web Based Confi guration attempts impossible.
