For convenience and energy savings, your shredder is equipped with an automatic-start sensor (P). This means that when the control switch (H) is in the automatic [I] position, the shredder will start running when you put paper into it and stop a few seconds after the paper has passed through.

CAUTION: The automatic-start sensor cannot tell the difference between paper and other objects. This feature can also be a hazard. Always turn off the shredder when it is not in

use. Unplug the shredder if it will not be used for an extended period.

To shred paper

Press the automatic [I] button. The green ready light (G) should turn on.

Feed paper straight into paper entry (B) releasing when the shredder begins shredding.

To shred CDs or DVDs

Hold CD or DVD at the edge and feed one at a time, straight into CD entry (E), releasing when shred- ding begins. Shredder will stop when media has passed through entry. The media will be shred into small

380-2, 380C-2, C-380C, C-380 specifications

The Fellowes C-380C and C-380 are advanced shredders designed to provide efficient, secure, and reliable paper destruction for home offices and small businesses. Known for their durable build and innovative features, these models stand out in the market for their combination of performance and safety.

One of the main features of the Fellowes C-380C and C-380 is their advanced SafeSense technology. This feature ensures user safety by automatically shutting off the shredder when hands come too close to the paper entry, effectively preventing accidental injuries. This is especially important in environments where children or pets are present, making the devices user-friendly and family-safe.

Both models boast a robust motor designed for continuous use. They can shred multiple sheets of paper at once, typically up to 15 sheets, which significantly enhances productivity. The high shred speed and efficiency allow users to quickly dispose of documents without significant downtime, making these models ideal for busy offices with high shredding demands.

The C-380C model offers a cross-cut shredding capability, turning documents into tiny particles, which adds an extra layer of security by making it virtually impossible for any information to be reconstructed. This feature is particularly beneficial for businesses that handle sensitive information, such as financial documents or personal identification data.

In terms of capacity, both shredders are equipped with spacious waste bins that can hold a significant amount of shredded material, reducing the frequency of emptying and improving overall operational efficiency. The easy-to-use bin design allows for quick disposal, while the transparent window on the bin lets users monitor the fill level without any hassle.

Another notable characteristic of the C-380C and C-380 is their quiet operation. These shredders are engineered to operate quietly, making them suitable for shared workspaces without disrupting employees. This feature allows for a harmonious work environment, even during busy shredding sessions.

Durability is further enhanced by an auto-reverse function that helps prevent jams by automatically backing up the paper when it senses an overload. This ensures smooth operation and minimizes interruptions.

In conclusion, the Fellowes C-380C and C-380 shredders offer a combination of safety, performance, and user-friendly design. With features like SafeSense technology, cross-cut shredding, continuous duty motor, and quiet operation, these shredders are perfect for those looking to maintain security and efficiency in document disposal. Whether for personal use or in a small office setting, they provide a reliable solution for protecting confidential information.
