Front Panel Overview

The front panel of your VAIO Slimtop Computer allows for access to the diskette and CD-RW drive. It also includes USB and i.LINK® ports to connect USB devices, digital equipment, or other components.

Locating Controls and Connectors

HD

1 Power switch and indicator light Turns on/off the computer and the display.

The indicator light is green while the power is on and amber when the computer is in standby mode.

2Floppy disk drive

Reads/writes data from/to a 3.5-inch floppy disk.

3Floppy disk eject button Ejects the floppy disk.

4CD-RW drive

Reads data from a CD-RW/CD-R/CD-ROM.

5Manual eject hole

If the CD does not come out when you press the CD-RW eject button, insert a thin, pointed object into this hole to eject the disc manually.

6CD-RW eject button Ejects a CD.
