Network Settings

IP Address Settings: By default, LinkStation will attempt to obtain an IP Address from a DHCP Server. If a DHCP Server is not available, it will assign itself an IP Address of 192.168. xxx.xxx with subnet mask 255.255.0.0.

A designated static IP Address can be given to LinkStation within IP Address Settings.

The gateway and subnet can also be set here.

Workgroup Settings: Configure Windows workgroup name and Wins Server.

FTP Server Settings: LinkStation includes a built- in FTP Server. The FTP Server can be used for accessing files over the internet using the FTP protocol. All of the FTP Server related settings can be accessed from FTP Server Settings.
