Replacing the System Board

NOTE: Your computer’s Service Tag is stored in the system board. You must enter the Service Tag in the system setup after you replace the system board.
Procedure
1Replace the heat-sink assembly.
2Align the screw holes on the
3Replace the screws that secure the
4Connect the
5Adhere the display cable to the fan.
6Slide the display cable and
7Adhere the tape that secures the display cable to the system board.
8Slide the antenna cables through the slot on the computer base.
9Close the display and turn the computer over.
10Route the antenna cables on the computer base.
Post-requisites
1Replace the
2Replace the
3Replace the palm rest.
4Replace the keyboard.
5Replace the wireless card.
6Follow the procedure from step 4 to step 5 in replacing the optical drive.
