Air-assisted Paper Feeding

The optional PF-602 Paper Feed Cabinet and LU-202 Large Capacity Unit both feature an air-assisted paper-feeding mechanism that separates stuck sheets by blowing air at a constantly changing force and frequency. The occurrence of multi-feed is dramatically reduced – even for coated paper in humid conditions*.

7,500-sheet Paper Capacity

The three standard universal trays offer a combined paper capacity of 1,500 sheets. Add to that an optional tray unit to fit the needs of your business: you can choose between the PF-602 Paper Feed Cabinet with two

3,000-sheet trays or the 2,500-sheet LU-202 Large Capacity Unit. To reduce downtime when paper runs out in mid-print, the same size is automatically located in another tray and printing resumes without pause.

250-sheet Multi-bypass Tray

The 250-sheet multi-bypass tray enables printing at postcard size (100 x 148mm). It can also handle paper up to 300g/m2, making it ideal for thick media such as stiff,

glossy paper often used for DMs, brochures and other marketing materials.

Multi-feed Detection

Improved Compatibility with Coated Paper

The newly developed belt-type fixing unit improves feeding accuracy and speed thanks to a wider nip width. And with a cooling vent in the lower pressure roller of the fixing unit, blistering and warping of coated paper are reduced.

A Wide Range of Paper Supported

Sizes from postcard to 330 x 487mm are supported, enabling A3 layouts to be output at full size, complete with trim marks. The main unit trays can handle paper between 64g/m2 to 256g/m2, while the PF-602 Paper Feed Cabinet, the LU-202 Large Capacity Unit, and the Multi-bypass are compatible with paper weights up to 300g/m2.

Paper Registration Settings

The bizhub PRO C6501 lets you register up to 60 paper types, sizes and weights along with sophisticated settings such as image correction and air-assisted paper feeding. Once registered, each job can be prepared at the push of a button.

The optional PF-602 Paper Feed Cabinet uses ultrasonic sensors to detect multi-feed with a high level of accuracy. However, if multi-feed does occur, the bizhub PRO C6501 automatically shuts down to minimise misprint, greatly reducing the burden of checking for blank pages mixed in with output.
