5. Software Installation

FOR WINDOWS® 98SE & ME

Step. 1

Boot your computer into the Windows Operating System.

Step. 2

Insert your Windows 98 or ME Installation CD-ROM into your computer.

NOTE: If your computer came pre-installed with either Windows 98 or Windows ME, the CD-ROM files will be copied to your Hard Drive, and the installation CD-ROM will not be necessary.

Step. 3

The Add New Hardware wizard will appear. Click “Next” to continue.

Step. 4

In the next dialog box that comes up, leave the default folder choice for FireWire® (IEEE 1394 Controller). Typically, it should be (for Win98) D:\WIN98 or D:\WIN9X\ (“D” for which drive letter the CD-ROM is).
