The Programme 35T features an internal line-matching transformer with four power/impedance selections for 100 volt line. When speaker systems are connected in series, anything over 32Ω is considered high impedance. Use of constant-voltage distribution in installation increases the impedance to the desired level at the speaker location. With the line impedance well above the nominal speaker impedance, power loss in long speaker lines is minimised. Smaller wire can be used without excessive power loss. The four switchable power tappings are 5W,10W, 20W and 40W

HF PROTECTION:The Programme 35 & 35T series speakers are equipped with the “PRO-TECH”™ system, a dynamic tweeter protection circuit, composed of an accurate and sensitive protection lamp. When high signal levels are present that may pose a dangerous overload for the tweeter coil, the protection circuit will activate immediately to limit the power sent to the transducer.

35, 35T specifications

The Wharfedale 35T and 35 stand out in the realm of high-fidelity audio, offering a blend of heritage, innovation, and impressive acoustic performance. These loudspeakers are a testament to Wharfedale’s legacy of crafting high-quality sound reproduction systems.

The Wharfedale 35T is a floor-standing speaker designed for audiophiles who demand both beauty and performance. It features a three-way design that includes a dedicated woofer, midrange driver, and a high-frequency tweeter. This configuration allows the speaker to reproduce a wide range of frequencies with remarkable accuracy and clarity. The 35T is equipped with a 230mm bass driver that provides robust low-end performance, ensuring deep and powerful bass response, which is essential for genres like rock and electronic music.

In contrast, the Wharfedale 35 is a smaller bookshelf model, ideal for limited spaces without compromising sound quality. This two-way speaker utilizes a 130mm woofer coupled with a 25mm soft-dome tweeter, delivering crisp highs and warm mids. Both models come with an aesthetically pleasing wooden veneer finish, adding a touch of elegance to any room setting.

One of the standout features of the Wharfedale 35T and 35 is their advanced drive unit technology. The drivers are designed with innovative materials that enhance rigidity and reduce distortion, allowing for a more precise soundstage. The speakers employ Wharfedale’s proprietary Evolution technology, which optimizes the flow of sound through the cabinet, reducing unwanted resonances that can color the audio.

Another characteristic of these speakers is their sensitivity, which makes them compatible with a wide range of amplifiers. This versatility allows music lovers to pair them with various gear, from entry-level setups to high-end audio systems. The Wharfedale 35T and 35 also feature carefully designed crossover networks that ensure a seamless transition between the drivers, resulting in a cohesive and natural sound presentation.

Overall, the Wharfedale 35T and 35 encapsulate impressive acoustic engineering and aesthetic design. With their various features and technologies, they cater to the needs of serious audiophiles and casual listeners alike, promising an enriching listening experience that brings music to life. Whether you choose the imposing 35T for a powerful home theater setup or the compact 35 for a snug listening space, both options deliver exceptional performance that exemplifies Wharfedale’s commitment to quality in sound reproduction.
