8(cassette) indicator

Normally this indicator is not displayed. However, the indicator blinks in the following cases:

One of the TEL REC, LTR, SEC and ERASE buttons is pressed or the function selector is set to DICT when no cassette is inserted or when the cassette’s safety tabs have been removed.

A tape reaches the end.

A tape is torn while being rewound.
