Reinstalling Drivers for Your Internal Bluetooth USB Device

15If you are using Windows 98 SE or Windows Me:

Select View List.

Select a driver.

Select Install one of the other drivers.

Click Next.

Click Finish.

16While inside the Control Panel, if you are using Windows 98 SE or Windows Me, double-click Modems. If you are using Windows 2000, double-click Ports.

Four entries appear: 3Com Bluetooth DUN Client, 3Com Bluetooth Fax Client, 3Com Bluetooth Serial Client, and 3Com Bluetooth Serial Host.

17Double-click any entry.

18Select the Drivers tab.

19Click Update Driver.

20Click Next.

21If you are using Windows 2000, select Search for a suitable driver for my device.

If you are using Windows 98 SE or Windows Me, select Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now.

22Insert the Bluetooth Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.

23When prompted, select Specify a Location.

24Check the Specify a Location checkbox and enter the path to the drivers.

The path to the drivers for Windows 2000 is d:\drivers.w2k; for Windows 98 SE and Windows Me, the path is d:\drivers.w98.

25If you are using Windows 98 SE or Windows Me follow these steps:

Select View List.

Select a driver.

Select Install one of the other drivers.

26Click Next.

27Click Finish.

28Repeat steps 18 through 28 for each of the other three drivers.

29Close the Control Panel.
