Installation

Electrical Hazard: Before installing or replacing the batteries, remove jewelry such as wristwatches and rings. High short-circuit current through conductive materials could cause severe burns.

• The Smart-UPS unit will recognize up to ten XLBPs using the display interface, however there is no limit to the number of XLBPs that can be used with the UPS.

•Always install the XLBPs below the UPS in a rack configuration.

•Connect all battery strings. Failure to do so may cause equipment damage.

Remove the battery

Each battery weighs 23 kg (51 lbs). Remove the batteries before installation in a rack.
