Both controllers are Variable Data Printing (VDP) ready, and support a variety of VDP languages including Freeform, Freeform II, and PPML*.

PDF High Compression Mode offers Trace & Smooth PDF func- tionality (standard on the “i” model), which can convert text and line art in scanned documents to scalable artwork (vector graphics data) in PDF format.** The vector graphics are less jagged at the edges and can be manipulated in Adobe Illustrator ® to create elements for other documents.
