WHAT IS INTERNET FAXING?

Internet-enabled fax machines plug into your existing data network. They convert scanned documents into file formats that are easily transported over the Internet or your company intranet, sending data to E-mail address destinations or other I-fax-capable machines. Internet faxing bypasses the public switched telephone network and offers many advantages for your business:

• Lowers communication costs by eliminating per-call charges for each

transmission—especially for long-distance and international calls.

• Allows for simultaneous and instantaneous distribution of informa-

tion to all recipients. Data is transmitted to all recipients at once,

at the maximum speed of your network—not the telephone line—

eliminating delays associated with sequential broadcast technology.

• Maintains image quality and document integrity through end-to-end

digital transmission. Your faxes are impervious to distortion from

static and line noise, so resolution is never compromised.

• Increases productivity by eliminating busy signals and rescanning

tasks—every fax gets through the first time, every time.

The Canon LASER CLASS 700 Series utilizes the ITU-T.37 standard for Internet Fax transmissions. Similar to the standards for corporate E-mail systems, this makes I-fax technology easy to use and instantly familiar to your employees. The T.37 “store and forward” process

500-sheet cassette for maximum printing productivity.

relays a fax transmission from an originating device to an IP fax gate- way. The data is then sent to a receiving device, either another I-fax unit or your PC’s E-mail inbox through mail servers. Store and forward Internet faxing works essentially the same as sending an E-mail with an attachment. From a user’s perspective, it is little different from traditional G3 fax technology. The G3 format is replaced as a PDF or M-TIFF file that is basically a snapshot of the original document.

The file is then sent using network data lines. Because the Canon LASER CLASS 700 Series offers both I-fax and Super G3 sending, total communications flexibility is at your fingertips, allowing you to:

Send a fax to an E-mail address

Receive E-mail from an E-mail address

Receive a G3 fax and forward it to E-mail

Receive an I-fax and forward it to a G3 fax

The touchscreen also streamlines menu navigation and settings adjustment, making it easier for new users to familiarize themselves with the camera's functionalities.

The Canon 700D features an 9-point autofocus system for focusing precision—ideal for both stills and video shooting. This system includes a single cross-type point at the center, which provides enhanced accuracy. Moreover, the camera excels in live view shooting, utilizing a Hybrid CMOS AF system for smooth focusing transitions when capturing moving subjects or shooting video.

Video capabilities are excellent, with the ability to record Full HD 1080p video at a variety of frame rates. Users can take advantage of manual exposure control during video recording, allowing for creative expression and technical expertise in videography.

Connectivity options are also present in the Canon 700D, including a built-in flash, external microphone input, and an HDMI output for easy sharing and playback. Although it lacks built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, the camera can be paired with Wi-Fi-enabled devices via Eye-Fi cards for wireless image transfer.

The Canon 700D is designed with a comfortable grip and an intuitive layout, making it easy to hold for extended periods. This ergonomic design, paired with the camera's relatively lightweight body, makes it a great choice for travel photography.
