INSTALLING BATTERIES

Your Modem Mate requires two 9-volt batteries for pow- er. For the best performance, we recommend you use al- kaline batteries such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-553.

Follow these steps to install the batteries.

1.Press the tab and lift the battery compartment cover to remove it.

2.Insert the batteries into the compartment on top of the ribbon, according to the polarity symbols (+ and – ) marked inside the compartment.

3.Replace the cover.
