REPLACING THE BATTERY

Although your calculator uses solar power most of the time, the backup battery will eventually become weak and need replac- ing. If the display speed slows down in a dimly-lit room, replace the battery with a 389A-type button-cell battery (RadioShack Cat. No. 23-117).

Caution: Use only a fresh battery of the re- quired size and type.

Follow these steps to replace the battery.

1.Use a small Phillips screwdriver and remove the two screws from the lower case.
