SPEAKER CONNECTION

Turn your amplifier OFF before connecting speakers.

This will avoid damage which could result from accidental shorting of speaker cables.

Your speakers are equipped with binding posts that can be used with banana, pin or spade connectors, as well as with bare wire. Using high-quality speaker cable (not included, see your Dealer), connect one speaker at a time to your receiver/amplifier. Connect the red

(+)amplifier terminal to the red (+) speaker terminal and the black (–) to the black (–) (Fig. 3). Tighten the posts firmly by hand, but don’t over-tighten them.

Turn your amplifier on and listen to your speakers. If you notice a complete lack of mid-bass and a dislocated image, one or more of your speakers may be connected out-of-phase (their polarity is reversed). Re-check to ensure that each speaker’s cable is connected with correct polarity: red (+) to red (+) and black (–) to black (–). Make sure wires are firmly fastened.

MLT-1 specifications

The MartinLogan MLT-1 is a high-performance compact speaker system that stands out for its unique blend of innovative technology, superior sound quality, and sophisticated design. Positioned perfectly for both home theater setups and music listening, the MLT-1 delivers an immersive audio experience that captivates audiophiles and casual listeners alike.

One of the standout features of the MLT-1 is its high-resolution Folded Motion tweeter. This design allows it to produce a wide frequency response while minimizing distortion, creating crisp and clear high frequencies. The tweeter’s folded diaphragm technology enables greater speed and efficiency in sound reproduction, ensuring that even the most subtle nuances in the audio signal are preserved. This is particularly beneficial for high-frequency sounds such as vocals and string instruments, allowing them to shine in their full glory.

Complementing the tweeter is the 5.25-inch aluminum cone woofer, which is meticulously crafted to deliver deep, rich bass. The woofer is designed to handle a wide range of low frequencies, resulting in powerful sound without sacrificing clarity. The MLT-1's cabinet design plays an essential role in enhancing bass response, as it features a rear-firing bass port that allows for enhanced low-end performance, making it equally adept for movie soundtracks and music.

Another characteristic that sets the MLT-1 apart is its compact size. This makes it ideal for a variety of placements, whether in your living room, home office, or dedicated listening space. It can easily blend into any décor without sacrificing acoustic performance. The speaker's aesthetic appeal is further elevated by its premium finishes, which provide a sophisticated touch to any room.

The MLT-1 can be easily paired with various amplification systems, thanks to its flexible impedance and sensitivity rating. This versatility makes it suitable for both low-powered tube amplifiers and higher-powered solid-state amps, allowing users to fully tailor their audio environment based on personal preferences.

Overall, the MartinLogan MLT-1 encapsulates a high-fidelity audio experience in a compact package, making it a remarkable choice for anyone looking to elevate their sound system without occupying substantial space. With its blend of foldable motion tweeter technology, a well-engineered woofer, and a sleek design, the MLT-1 stands out as an exemplary model worthy of consideration for any discerning music lover or film enthusiast.
