Reinstalling programs

If you uninstall one of the preinstalled programs and want to reinstall it, do the following:

1Make sure that the system is turned on.

2Insert the System CD into the CD or DVD drive.

3Select the application that you want to reinstall.

4Follow all onscreen instructions until you finish the installation.

Recovering your system

When your operating system files is lost or damaged, the recovery process will require you to restore your system's original factory default settings. Follow the steps below:

1Insert the System CD into the CD or DVD drive.

2Reboot the system.

3Follow all onscreen instructions.

4Remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD into the CD or DVD drive.

5After the operating system has been copied to your hard disk, remove the Recovery CD and insert the System CD into the CD or DVD drive.

6Follow all onscreen instructions until you finish the installation.

Caution: Using the Recovery CD will erase all files previously saved in your computer so make sure to back up your important files before starting the recovery process.

Make sure that the Systems CD/Recovery CD is properly inserted into the CD or DVD drive. Improper insertion may damage both the CD and the drive.
