Removing the Keyboard

Prerequisites

1Remove the base cover. See "Removing the Base Cover" on page 15.

2Remove the battery. See "Removing the Battery" on page 17.

3Remove the center-control cover.

See "Removing the Center-Control Cover" on page 33.

Procedure

1Remove the screws that secure the keyboard to the computer base.

CAUTION: The keycaps on the keyboard are fragile, easily dislodged, and time- consuming to replace. Be careful when removing and handling the keyboard.

CAUTION: Be careful when removing and handling the keyboard. Failure to do so could result in scratching the display panel.
